Fluent runs on one credit balance. Every AI action (processing a document or sending a chat message) draws credits based on the work it takes. There are no per-seat or per-agent fees, so you get unlimited agents and users and pay only for what you use. Credits cost as little as $0.035 each on a plan, or $0.05 pay-as-you-go.

It depends on the document type and how much work it takes to process. Credits scale with the work, not a flat per-document fee. Use the estimator above to size your monthly volume from the current per-type estimates.

Two. Included credits come with your plan and refresh at the start of each billing period. Purchased credits are top-ups you add yourself, or via auto-refill, on top of your plan. Usage always draws from your included credits first, then from purchased credits.

Included credits reset at the end of each billing period (on an annual plan the pool spans the whole year), and any unused included credits don't roll over. Purchased credits never expire and carry over indefinitely.

Usage beyond your included allowance draws from your purchased balance. Turn on auto-refill to top up automatically when you run low so work is never interrupted. If no balance remains, processing pauses until you add more credits.

Yes. Credits scale with the work each AI action takes, so a more capable model, higher reasoning effort, or longer responses use more credits, while lighter or cached calls use fewer. It can also go the other way: newer models are often more token-efficient, so an upgrade can actually lower your credit usage while giving you higher intelligence. Either way, you always pay for real usage, never a flat estimate.

Yes. Invited teams start on a 30-day trial that includes a credit balance, so you can process documents and chat at no charge during the trial. You only start paying when the trial converts.
